Lost in right direction

This short story is inspired by a true story and an Indian proverb that goes by “Sometimes the wrong train takes you to the right direction”. It means that sometimes you may start off going in a way that feels wrong, but it ends up being the right place where you were supposed to be all along.

The story starts with a woman in her late 20s that has been working in the IT sector for over 4 years. She frequently feels worn out and trapped in her work. One day, she decides to take a break and embark on her first solo travel to the Norwegian mountains. Her Hiking expedition didn't turn up the way she had anticipated. She begins to unravel several obstacles along the way. This narrative depicts her sheer determination and how she finds her purpose in life where she least expected it.

Storytelling models and layout

Initially, my story aligned with the “Freytag pyramid” model. After developing more incidents, climaxes, and resolutions, I choose to form it corresponding to the structure of “ The Hero's Journey” model.
